Cette peur peut nous paralyser et nous emp\u00eacher de faire les premiers pas vers ce que nous voulons accomplir. Le concept des <strong>progr\u00e8s marginaux<\/strong> (marginal gains) offre un cadre simple pour diviser nos grands objectifs en petites \u00e9tapes r\u00e9alisables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le concept des progr\u00e8s marginaux<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Popularis\u00e9 par Sir David Brailsford, directeur des performances de l\u2019\u00e9quipe britannique de cyclisme, le concept repose sur la <strong>r\u00e8gle du 1 %<\/strong> : am\u00e9liorer chaque jour un petit aspect de notre travail ou de notre performance, m\u00eame de seulement 1 %, peut conduire \u00e0 des gains cumulatifs impressionnants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque l\u2019\u00e9quipe britannique de cyclisme, surnomm\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque \u00ab la ris\u00e9e du peloton \u00bb, devait s\u2019am\u00e9liorer, Brailsford a introduit des changements minimes mais significatifs :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Peindre le sol du camion de l\u2019\u00e9quipe en blanc pour mieux voir et enlever la poussi\u00e8re affectant l\u2019entretien des v\u00e9los<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduire des matelas et oreillers orthop\u00e9diques pour am\u00e9liorer le confort des athl\u00e8tes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fournir du gel pour les mains afin de r\u00e9duire les infections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces <strong>petits ajustements<\/strong>, ou gains marginaux, ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 ce que Team Sky remporte 16 m\u00e9dailles d\u2019or aux Jeux Olympiques de P\u00e9kin 2008 et Londres 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La puissance des petits progr\u00e8s<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme le souligne James Clear dans son livre <em>Atomic Habits<\/em>, il est normal de se d\u00e9courager face \u00e0 des progr\u00e8s lents : les effets des am\u00e9liorations de 1 % ne sont pas imm\u00e9diats.
